Recommend · Chapter 2 of 3

Make it easy to hand over

Every recommendation has a moment of friction: the recommender doesn't quite know how to describe you.

Solve that moment. Give your customers a one-sentence description of your work that sounds like something they would say. Not marketing copy. A sentence they would text a friend.

"It's the calm way to figure out why people aren't buying — reads like a book, not a funnel." That is a sentence a customer can hand over without embarrassment.

Apply this week

  • Ask three happy customers how they describe your work to friends.
  • Steal their exact wording. Put it somewhere shareable.
